I get particularly tired of people scamming to run a trip, hoping that charitable contributions will pay for their vacation. We have chosen this trip to Mt. Washington because we can afford to do it out of our own pocket. We would likely be heading up there this winter, regardless of this project or not.
100% of your contribution goes straight through to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.
The trip costs, we pay for.
Sponsors who come on board to help this project are, first and foremost, community minded. They are reinvesting their profits back into the community. We vow to leverage their contribution to achieve an even greater good for their commitment. If they can use this towards their business marketing, we are happy to provide photos, and appropriate storytelling.
The heavy marketing focus on remote, distant trips implies there are few great adventures, beauty and inspiring stories in our own backyard.
We would like to thank the Mt. Washington Observatory for accommodations on the summit, Dave White Chevrolet for the loaner vehicles, the Appalachian Mountain Club for accommodations while in NH, International Mountain Equipment for Keith’s rental gear and the support; even at the last minute, the list continues to grow.
The quickness to support this effort tells me the American people are ready to run, not walk, over and help returning vets. It is heart warming to see. I think it is just a matter of how it gets done.
